What is naloxone?
- Naloxone, available as an easy-to-use medication, can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. It’s also known by the brand names Narcan, Kloxxado and Zimhi.
- Naloxone temporarily blocks the effects of opioids, like fentanyl, in the body. Even if you and your friends don’t use drugs, consider carrying naloxone. You could save someone’s life.
